Jeremy Martin @homelessyogi

Jeremy has a diverse skill set and prefers to be a jack of all trades. He strongly believes in the capacity for human adaptability, and is constantly surprised by our physical and mental capabilities.

Jeremy has been a fitness professional since 2001: personal trainer, yoga instructor, strength coach, and avid acroyoga enthusiast. Born in NYC, but now traveling as @HomelessYogi. He teaches people how to move efficiently and effectively: the gym, home, outdoors, everywhere.

You can find Jeremy busking regularly on the streets of New York City. Or you might see him at a festival or workshop with his partner, Micki Mooney. He also created AcroYogaNewYork.com as a way to help muggles learn about the magic of acro.

"We all walk different paths. The human body is how we walk, run, duck, climb, and shuffle through life". -Jeremy

Sarah Sofia Wilde @hello_fia

Sarah is a sensual and embodied movement artist and teacher specializing in partner acrobatics, pole dance, and somatic movement. Growing up, she dabbled in many different pastimes, but could rarely commit to one hobby over another. Her voracious appetite for variety, along with her playful imagination are consistent qualities that have shaped her movement expression.

Sarah began exploring competitive strength training in college, but her journey with movement arts and fitness took a sharp turn when she found pole dance in 2013. Pole was her first love and her first real foray into dance. When her sister introduced her to acroyoga in 2015, her practice evolved further. Though initially hesitant, Sarah quickly became enamored with acro and has spent the past 8 years dedicating herself to partner acrobatics, circus, and authentic expression through movement.

A 4x graduate of Pitch Catch Circus and an x-pole certified pole instructor, Sarah has traveled throughout North America to pursue her acrobatic endeavors. She and her partner Jay have been teaching, training, and performing together for over 6 years. Alongside acro and pole, she has also dabbled in aerial silks, contact improvisation, various styles of dance, crossfit, rock climbing, and more - her appetite for variety hasn't changed

Jay Mpelezos @J.arthur_acro

Jay began practicing Acro in 2015. His path began with yoga asana and when he found

Acroyoga and partner acrobatics, it was love at first sight. Jay began teaching in a year later in 2016 and held classes for Build A Machine Fitness, Sol Rise, and East Meets West Yoga. He has performed at venues such as Buffalo Riverworks, Flying Bison Brewing Co., GoBike Buffalo SkyRide, and Canalside. Jay has elevated his acro practice by studying at Pitch Catch Circus and training with numerous teachers like Niko Douwes, Micah Elinger, Hobs Hobotus, Josh Young, and Lizzy Tomber. Currently he teaches Handstand Conditioning at The Bird's Nest. He is known for being a strong, fun, and supportive base. Jay is also well regarded for focusing on the safety of his flyers and -most importantly- creating a fun experience for all!

Abigail Bowersox @abrsox

Prior to discovering Acro, Abigail was a competitive gymnast for 16 years and gymnastics coach for 7 years. After taking an Acro class in 2016 she quickly realized that Acro filled the void that gymnastics used to occupy. In 2017 she began teaching Acro in CT and now loves to teach standing, group, and icarian whenever possible. Abigail currently teaches a weekly handstand class at The Movement Collective as well as tumbling and acro privates. She believes that everyone is capable of achieving their movement goals and encourages people to focus on drilling basics, building strength and body awareness, and learning how to keep themselves and others safe.

Debbie Collis @debbiecollis

International partner acro teacher Debbie Collis started taking gymnastics when she was a kid. Thanks to her training in her youth, she has the strength, balance, and poise to make partner acrobatics very beautiful. Debbie’s long straight legs and pointed toes are the envy of the acro world. Debbie loves the connection and flow she can find with a partner. She can forget about the whole world while flowing in complex acrobatic movements. Debbie has a talent for teaching. Students say that she is sweet and has a good eye for form. She loves practicing until she gets a move perfectly and loves to share this practice around the world by hosting workshops, teaching at festivals and assisting in teacher trainings. Debbie has been practicing acro since 2012 and became a certified Acro Revolution Teacher in 2017.
